Clearing Occupy Wall Street from it's home

At 1:35 am Tuesday morning, Mayor Bloomberg ordered protesters out of Zuccoti Park citing unsanitary and hazardous conditions. NYC police moved in shortly thereafter to confront the protesters. Some of the action is depicted here on cell phone images.

Tribute: Joe Frazier

Boxing legend Joe Frazier passed away Monday evening ending his battle with liver cancer at age 67.

His fights with Muhammad Ali in the 1970's defined what many consider to be the golden era of boxing. The 1975 fight against Ali dubbed the "Thrilla' in Manila" is probably the most famous fight in boxing history.

Covering the Halloween Nor'easter of 2011

Register staffers Pete Hvizdak and Arnold Gold traveled far and wide yesterday to cover what was probably one of the strangest weather events ever to occur in Connecticut -- the Halloween Nor'easter of 2011.

As one person said, they were, "plowing snow in Sunday morning and cutting grass Sunday afternoon."
