In the continuing "Top of the Line" series where we showcase our best work from different genres within the photojournalism field, we take a look this time at "features."

While not a catch-all category, it does seem especially broad at times. It could also be labeled "slice of life" portraying the ongoing flux and flow of daily life in an unposed manner throughout our community.

Each and everyday brings the visual journalist into new situations where you're assessing the story and trying to accurately represent it visually for the reader to understand.

Though each situation is unique they can be categorized by genre. Sports, breaking news, general news, features and portraits are commonly agreed upon categories.
