Register staffers Pete Hvizdak and Arnold Gold traveled far and wide yesterday to cover what was probably one of the strangest weather events ever to occur in Connecticut -- the Halloween Nor'easter of 2011.
As one person said, they were, "plowing snow in Sunday morning and cutting grass Sunday afternoon."
Each and everyday brings the visual journalist into new situations where you're assessing the story and trying to accurately represent it visually for the reader to understand.
Though each situation is unique they can be categorized by genre. Sports, breaking news, general news, features and portraits are commonly agreed upon categories.
